Our client, a leading global player in the chemical industry, is looking for a Senior Automation & E&I Technician to join their innovative production site in Antwerp. Functie omschrijving

As a Senior Automation & E&I Technician, you’ll take a hands-on role in maintaining and improving complex electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across production lines. You’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial setting.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues (including PLC and DCS systems)

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain process safety

  • Support modifications and upgrades to installations (instrumentation, electrical systems, and control software)

  • Keep maintenance records and technical documentation accurate and up to date

  • Actively contribute to technical improvement projects that enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, operators, and other technicians across departments

  • Leverage training, documentation, and team knowledge to strengthen your technical expertise

Functie eisen

You're a motivated technician with a strong background in industrial automation and E&I systems. You take ownership of your work, have an eye for detail, and thrive in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

 

Requirements:

  • A technical degree (secondary or bachelor’s level) in electromechanics, automation, or a related field—or equivalent experience

  • Around 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial E&I or automation role

  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens or similar) and a solid grasp of automation technology

  • Technically adept and quick to learn new systems and procedures

  • A critical thinker with a proactive and solution-driven mindset

  • Familiarity with working in a chemical or industrial production environment where safety is a top priority

  • A true team player who enjoys working with colleagues from various technical disciplines
