Functie omschrijving
As Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the ABS plant. Your work will directly impact the operational efficiency and reliability of the installation. You will report to the Maintenance Manager Polymers.
Your responsibilities:
Team Leadership
You will lead a team consisting of a supervisor, planners, and technicians. You will drive strong EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) performance and encourage training and development — both at team level and individually. Success comes from coaching and guiding your team.
Maintenance Expertise
You will support the ABS plant with cost-effective maintenance in line with the desired asset availability and reliability. You act as the key technical contact for asset managers, contractors, and both internal and external stakeholders.

People Management
You have experience leading, coaching, and supporting teams. You collaborate easily across departments and communicate effectively at all levels. You are customer-oriented and know how to build engagement and support.
Technical and Analytical Skills
You monitor maintenance costs and budgets closely. You are familiar with technical specifications, guidelines, and legislation — or are motivated to develop this knowledge further.
Safety First
You ensure all work is carried out safely and are confident in addressing colleagues when needed.
Functie eisen
You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering, ideally with a specialization in Electromechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
You have a strong interest in industrial or chemical environments.
You are fluent in both Dutch and English, in speaking and writing.
